Key Executives

Alistair Beak, Chief Executive Officer

Alistair joined Sure in June 2017 and became CEO in July 2021, having previously been in the position of Chief Business Officer and having responsibility for the South Atlantic and Diego operations. Alistair’s extensive international telecoms experience had previously seen him in commercial roles at Vodafone in the UK, Czech Republic and Qatar, and then moving to Digicel in the Caribbean where he was Regional CEO of Bermuda, Cayman and Turks & Caicos.

Cyrille Joffre, Chief Operating Officer

Cyrille joined Sure in September 2013 to head up a newly merged division incorporating planning, operations and maintenance as they focus on making some major investments in network infrastructure to deliver the next generation of high speed voice, data and video services to meet the future needs of their customers. Cyrille has 20 years’ experience in the telecommunications industry which has seen him work across the Far East and Europe, most recently for Cable & Wireless Communications in Monaco.

Stuart Holland, Chief Financial Officer

Stuart is responsible for Sure’s financial strategy – which includes driving business efficiency and identifying growth opportunities, as well as communicating the financial performance of the group to internal and external stakeholders. He has an extensive background in commercial accounting in the retail and logistics industries, having spent 10 years working for Tesco across various functions in the UK and Europe, before moving to Guernsey. As well as a degree in Maths, Operational Research, Statistics & Economics from Warwick University, he is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and has more than 20 years’ experience in commercial accounting roles.

Sure are committed to investing in their local communities and the future of the Channel Islands and Isle of Man.

That’s why they support grass-roots level business education programmes such as the Channel Islands Student Business Challenge and Young Enterprise. In the Isle of Man, their Primary School Sports Leaders programme helps young people develop valuable leadership skills.

Helping business thrive

As one of the largest companies in Guernsey, they recognise their responsibility to support the local business community. They do that through their sponsorship of Digital Greenhouse’s communications infrastructure as well as their partnership with the Guernsey Chamber of Commerce, as the main sponsor of their monthly lunch series.

In the Isle of Man, they have been the Official Telecommunications Partner of the Isle of Man TT race since 2007. They also sponsor the Bridge network supporting business start-ups in the Isle of Man and IsleExpo which promotes the Isle of Man as a unique destination to start, grow or locate a business.

They are also the headline sponsor of the Channel Islands Customer Service Awards, an annual programme which highlights their commitment to excellence in customer focus and experience.

Sure Foundation

In 2012, the Sure Foundation was established as a recognised charity with a committee made up of staff from across the organization.

It helps fund projects from all types of charities – big or small. The Foundation also recognises that charities and community groups need volunteer time almost as much as they need money. So they arrange regular opportunities for their staff to take time out of the business and contribute in a tangible way to charitable or community groups – like the Every Child Our Future programme in Jersey, which sees staff take time out each week to help primary school children with key literacy skills.
