Chime Appoints Can Envarli as VP of Engineering for Member Engagement

Chime has appointed a new VP of Engineering to lead The Member Engagement team, a cross-functional team that includes product management, engineering, platform, risk, design, and support. Envarli has almost 20 years of expertise implementing data-driven strategies and overseeing high-impact initiatives, along with a strong background in software engineering and product development from positions at Twitter, Microsoft, and LiquidityBook. Reporting directly to Jeff Currier, Chime's CTO, he will lead efforts to build cross-functional cohesiveness, promote member relationships, and accelerate growth.

Envarli’s diverse experience is highlighted by his achievements as VP of Engineering at LiquidityBook and his eight-year tenure at Twitter, where he led projects to enhance video quality, develop native video capabilities, and establish a new team focused on metrics and experimentation. His technical skills and commitment to innovation align with Chime’s mission to deliver exceptional, member-centric fintech solutions. Holding degrees in computer science from Georgia Tech and Vanderbilt University, Envarli’s appointment reflects Chime’s dedication to advancing member engagement and product innovation through engineering excellence and strategic leadership.
