CrowdStreet’s New Faces and New Mission

Not all Chief Executive Officer jobs are the same. When John Imbriglia was named CEO of CrowdStreet, the largest online private equity real estate investing platform, last July, he took over a company in flux – one that, a year prior, had transitioned to a broker-dealer model under an interim leader.

Just over six months later, the company is thriving anew. A senior financial services executive with nearly 20 years of experience in the alternative investment and financial technology industries, Imbriglia was previously a Managing Director at iCapital, and he has helped rebuild CrowdStreet in his image, setting a tactical course for success while surrounding himself with more top-tier talent.

In October, CrowdStreet announced the hiring of Shaun Mulreed as Chief Operating Officer and Rodes Ponzer as Chief Marketing Officer. Together, the trio brings more than 80 years of experience across financial services, marketing and operations.

“Since John joined in July, he has been laser-focused on building a team that will help CrowdStreet achieve its next phase of growth,” said Jeff Hinck, Rally Ventures, Board Member of CrowdStreet. “Shaun and Rodes complement our existing executive team well, and they put us in a great position to not only provide tremendous value for our current members, but also strengthen our leadership within the private market investments industry."

CrowdStreet has helped tens of thousands of investors discover opportunities that align with their financial goals, with billions invested in nearly 800 projects as of October 2024. With a new leadership team and new forward momentum, we can’t wait to see what’s next.
