Carlos Menendez has been named Chief Operating Officer of dLocal, a prominent cross-border payment platform that targets high-growth areas, with immediate effect. The company's current COO and Co-President, Jacobo Singer, will continue to serve in both capacities until December 15, 2024, when he will resign but continue to serve on the Board of Directors. Menendez and Singer will collaborate closely throughout this period to guarantee a seamless handoff of duties. dLocal’s CEO, Pedro Arnt, expressed confidence in Menendez’s leadership, citing his extensive experience in scaling businesses and forming strategic partnerships across industries such as payments and banking.
Menendez brings over 30 years of leadership experience from top-tier companies, including Mastercard, Citibank, and Procter and Gamble. With a background in global strategic leadership and operational management, Menendez holds degrees from Harvard University and the Wharton School of Business. He will report directly to CEO Arnt and is expected to play a critical role in driving dLocal’s continued growth and innovation. dLocal connects global merchants with emerging markets across Africa, Asia, and Latin America through its “One dLocal” platform, offering payment solutions via a single API, platform, and contract, eliminating the complexities of multiple local integrations.
