IT giant Infosys has announced that its Finacle division’s new digital banking solutions platform will now be fully integrated into major industry platforms OpenShift and IBM Cloud. Finacle boasts that this partnership will facilitate increasingly agile, scalable business transformation and more secure ecosystem management for banks around the world.
Red Hat OpenShift as well as IBM Cloud are behind the containerization and infrastructure platform services that make up the foundation of financial service and business transactions worldwide. The integration of Finacle’s digital banking solutions platform into OpenShift and IBM Cloud is expected to bring a variety of benefits to business users, including faster customer onboarding and unified cloud management.
A more consequential implication of this partnership is that it signifies a greater expansion into retail fintech on the part of Red Hat and IBM, and great inroads into the broader industry by Finacle. IBM’s Vice President of Cloud and Cognitive Software Gaurav Sharma elaborates: “With this collaboration, Infosys Finacle joins a growing ecosystem of more than 100 Independent Software Vendors (ISVs), SaaS providers, Global Systems Integrators (GSIs), and Fintechs leveraging the IBM Cloud for financial services.”
