Finastra, a global software and financial services company, has announced a significant change in its leadership. Chris Walters has been named CEO, succeeding Simon Paris, who is stepping down after nearly a decade of leadership. Walters, who recently led Pluralsight and Avantax, brings extensive experience in driving innovation and scaling technology companies. His career includes roles as a Partner at McKinsey & Company and COO of Bloomberg Industry Verticals Group. Paris expressed pride in Finastra’s achievements and confidence in Walters's leadership, ensuring a seamless transition for continued excellence. Under Paris' stewardship, Finastra achieved key milestones, including forming the company through the Misys and D+H merger in 2017, building a customer base of 8,000 institutions across 130 countries, and advancing Open Finance and Generative AI capabilities. Finastra serves 45 of the world’s top 50 banks.
