Fiserv announced the appointment of Michael P. Lyons as its President and CEO-elect. Lyons will report to current Chairman and CEO Frank Bisignano, who will continue in his role until June 30, 2025, or upon an earlier confirmation as Commissioner of the Social Security Administration. Upon Bisignano’s departure, Lyons will assume the position of Chief Executive Officer and join the Fiserv Board of Directors. The company’s board conducted a comprehensive search and expressed confidence in Lyons’ ability to lead Fiserv, citing his extensive experience in financial services, strategic leadership, and operational expertise.
Lyons brings more than 30 years of industry experience, having previously served as President of The PNC Financial Services Group. He played a key role in PNC’s acquisitions, including BBVA USA in 2021, and held leadership roles at Bank of America, focusing on corporate development and strategic growth. Lyons emphasized his commitment to advancing Fiserv’s services for financial institutions, businesses, and communities while maintaining sustainable growth. Bisignano highlighted Lyons’ deep understanding of the industry and strong work ethic as qualities that will support a seamless leadership transition. Doyle R. Simons, currently Lead Independent Director, will assume the role of Non-Executive Chairman upon Lyons’ appointment as CEO.
