Mambu, a prominent cloud banking platform, has announced the acquisition of Numeral, a Paris-based payment technology provider specializing in modernizing payment workflows for banks and fintechs. Established in 2021, Numeral processes more than $10.3 billion in payments annually and partners with prominent European institutions, including HSBC, Barclays, and BNP Paribas. This strategic acquisition strengthens Mambu’s market position, enabling the company to offer advanced payment capabilities that enhance operational efficiency, customer experiences, and support for multiple payment methods. Numeral’s robust platform features modular APIs and a modern dashboard, facilitating seamless integration for Mambu’s global customer base.
This acquisition allows Mambu to capitalize on the $198 trillion Eurozone bank payments market, which is undergoing rapid transformation due to the rise of instant payments. By integrating Numeral's technology, Mambu can provide banks, fintechs, and non-financial firms with real-time transaction capabilities and end-to-end payment workflow management. Existing customers can upgrade their payment solutions, while new customers gain access to enhanced payment tools from day one. Mambu CEO Fernando Zandona highlighted the shared values and agility between the two companies, emphasizing the long-term growth opportunities unlocked by the acquisition.
