N26 announced that all its customers will be able to trade stocks and ETFs without any fees or commissions. This move makes N26 the only financial service provider in Europe to offer free trading, eliminating transaction, currency conversion, custody, and inactivity fees. The platform allows eligible users to buy and sell fractional shares of more than 4,000 U.S. and European stocks and global ETFs directly through its app. N26 first introduced its trading service in early 2024 and has since expanded its range of available assets while also offering free recurring investment plans.
Founders Valentin Stalf and Maximilian Tayenthal emphasized the company’s goal of making investing more accessible and encouraging more Europeans to participate in equity markets. N26 Stocks and ETFs, which enable users to start investing with as little as $1.04, is available in multiple European countries, including Germany, France, Spain, and the Netherlands. The company, headquartered in Berlin, manages more than $145 billion in transactions annually and operates in 24 European markets.
