NFT TV? Digital Artwork Trading May Be Coming Soon To Your Smart Television

The enthusiasm for trading digital artwork non-fungible tokens (NFTs) has grown to a fever pitch. If that seems like an overstatement, you have to look no further than your television to see how hot the market’s excitement for NFTs has become.

One of the top manufacturers of consumer electronics in the world, Samsung Electronics has added a new feature to its latest generation of smart TVs that may prove to be the next step in digital artwork trading. In addition to its gaming hub, streaming media compatibility, and all the other next-gen tech add-ons that consumers have come to expect, the Samsung 2022 Smart TV will also feature a dedicated platform for viewing and trading NFTs.

The new NFT-friendly integration boasts “an intuitive, integrated platform for discovering, purchasing, and trading digital artwork through MICRO LED, Neo QLED, and The Frame,” Samsung said in a recent summary of their new personalization options.

A stalwart over the last several decades in now-commonplace technologies including laptops and LED panels, Samsung’s latest development is the first of its kind. Citing the growing popularity of NFTs in recent years, Samsung reported to The Verge that their new platform is meant to serve as “a solution to today’s fragmented viewing and purchasing landscape.”
