With an extensive background in guiding and expanding global teams to foster product development and stimulate new revenue streams, Dougherty brings valuable experience to the position.
Prior to joining Spreedly, Dougherty spent over 12 years at Lightspeed Commerce, a merchant commerce platform. His journey at Lightspeed Commerce saw him ascend from the role of senior director of partnerships to ultimately becoming the GM and EVP of the Lightspeed restaurant division. Spreedly, headquartered in Durham, North Carolina, specializes in payments orchestration technology, facilitating businesses' connection to payment services across over 100 countries through a single API. The platform boasts hundreds of global customers who securely manage card data in its PCI-compliant vault, utilizing tokenized card data to optimize annual transaction volumes exceeding $50 billion with various payment services. The appointment of Dougherty aligns with a broader trend in the fintech industry, with several notable president appointments in recent months across various companies.
