Stripe Introduces Advanced Solutions for The French Market

Leading financial infrastructure platform, Stripe, has launched its largest product launch since joining the market in 2016, now offering a wide variety of partnerships and product improvements for businesses in France. Stripe customers will be able to activate Alma—France's top buy now, pay later (BNPL) provider—straight from the Stripe Dashboard. Along with PayPal, Apple Pay, and Alipay, Alma is one of the more than 100 payment options available in Stripe's Optimized Checkout Suite (OCS). The move highlights Stripe’s dedication to expediting the implementation of Stripe Terminal's integrated commerce functionalities across the French economy.

As part of its French expansion, Stripe has introduced the Stripe Reader S700, offering customizable commerce experiences. A pre-built integration with Cegid allows businesses to now collect in-person payments, seamlessly. Later in 2024, Stripe will also enable CB, France's leading payment system, on Terminal, optimizing costs and conversion rates for merchants. Strengthening its partnership with CB, Stripe now supports CB on Apple Pay and offers features like multiple fund captures and extended authorization on CB. Over 100,000 French businesses have benefited from Stripe's help since 2016, and the company has been widely adopted by large corporations and AI startups, underscoring its contribution to the country's technical and economic development.
