Traydstream Appoints Former Microsoft Executive as CTO

Trade finance technology provider Traydstream, headquartered in the U.K., has named Stephan Hufnagl, formerly of Microsoft, as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO). With over two decades of industry experience in cloud architecture, business strategy, and engineering, Hufnagl is tasked with driving Traydstream's technology strategy and advancing its product development initiatives, according to Traydstream CEO Sameer Sehgal.

Hufnagl joins Traydstream from Microsoft, where he served as director of technical specialists, overseeing analytics, data, and AI teams. Prior to his tenure at Microsoft, he held a leadership role at Google, serving as the data analytics practice lead for Google Cloud in the EMEA region. Traydstream, known for its cloud-based platform, automates trade documentation processes, data extraction, and validation using machine learning technology. The fintech recently secured $21 million in Series B funding in 2023, earmarked for platform development and technology stack expansion, signaling its commitment to innovation and growth in the trade finance sector.
