TrueLayer, the UK’s largest Pay by Bank network, has appointed Basil Bailey as CEO of TrueLayer Ireland and General Manager of its European business. In this role, Bailey will oversee the commercial and regulatory functions of TrueLayer Ireland, which holds a European Payments Institution license regulated by the Central Bank of Ireland. He will also manage the company’s European operations and serve as an Executive Director on the TrueLayer Ireland board. With extensive experience in the payments industry, Bailey previously held senior positions at JPMorgan, Fiserv, PayPal, and Mastercard, where he led various financial services and strategic initiatives.
Bailey joins TrueLayer as the company continues to expand, processing more than $64 billion in payments and serving over 10 million users. TrueLayer has experienced strong growth, increasing revenue by over 50 percent in the past year and partnering with major clients including Ryanair and Just Eat.
